Decor hosts top designers

Top kitchen and bath designers from across North America gathered in Morden recently.
Some of the best were honoured here June 10 at the Elite Design Awards sponsored by Decor Cabinets of Morden.
Created in 2008, the Elite Design Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in kitchen and bath design among Decor Cabinet dealers around North America.
The designers and their best work with Decor Cabinet products were recognized by six award categories including traditional, rustic and contemporary kitchens. The projects were judged on visual appeal, creativity and safety.
"Decor was honored to be able to host this event here at our facility," said Annie Bergen, promotions and publicity manager for Decor Cabinets.
All winning designers were invited to attend a formal dinner at The Timbers at the Minnewasta Golf & Country Club and recognized within three levels of excellence: Platinum, Gold and Crystal. Winners also participated in Q & A round table discussions and toured the Decor manufacturing facilities and showroom.
Jim Krengel, a 41-year veteran of the cabinet industry, gave the keynote speech on "What's Hot and What's Not in Kitchen Design Trends for 2010".
"Having the opportunity to personally sit down with these great designers and to be able to listen to them and draw from their experience and thank them for their business is really important to us," said Stan Pauls, vice president of sales and marketing for Decor.
